It's interesting, but I don't like it. Conference wins/ loses should determine seeding only for the conference tourney. OOC game performances is for the NCAA tournament committee to worry about.

I agree. Pretty much makes conference standings completely meaningless. Not the way to go.

Although something can be said for earning wins against a more difficult (competitive) schedule, that's not a really fair metric. In order to schedule better (tougher) opponents, most MAC schools will have to be a visitor and that puts them at a disadvantage, so what does it really say? For a variety of reasons, some MAC schools can only upgrade their schedule by facing other mid-majors to appeal to their home fans. When you use only conference games to determine a league tournament seeding, everyone should be on more of an equal plane when it comes to home, away, and quality of foes. And let's face it, the NCAA committee is only going to look at more than one MAC school if a couple manage 20-win seasons and pull off a few road upsets.
