After reading the comments in this thread, I was curious and decided to watch some of the Doc Holiday podcast with Penny (my first exposure to the podcast). I made it for about five minutes and that took tremendous effort. Holiday might be a fine person but his communication style and personality is simply over the top, bombastic and cliched. I would assume he admires the work of Stephen A. Smith (I can't listen to that man either).
To be fair, I am a near-60-year-old eccentric and neurotic white man who likely shares nothing in common with Doc Holiday in terms of lifestyle, communication manner and hobbies/interests — with perhaps basketball being the exception. As such, I'm clearly not the target audience for his podcast. Doc will not miss me not tuning in.

If plain Penny Hardaway local legend wants to do this as an individual representing himself so be it.
But he chose to go on this profanity laced program as an official representative of the U of Memphis.
We're fighting an uphill battle already to try and get into a P5 conference without giving them more ammo to use against us.
