Memphis Football Tape Analysis - MemphisFootballFan - 06-17-2022 07:24 AM

I found this video on YouTube from a FSU fan analyzing the Memphis football passing game scheme from 2019. I really enjoy watching this kind of thing and I wish we had people who made videos like this, talking about the x's and o's of play calling and scheme with regard to our current football games. I remember that Christian Fowler and Gabe Kuhn made some videos like this a couple of years ago called "Tiger Film Room" or something like that and they were great. Would be nice if GoTigers247 or TigerSportsReport or somebody had these kinds of in-depth football film analysis.

It would be nice, but until someone starts posting those in-depth analysis videos, I guess we will have to get by with watching videos of great moments in the past.

Nice video! I had not seen that. Interesting that the film quality was grainy black and white in 1970. Kinda looks more like 1930.

Everytime I see tape analysis I am reminded of an old episode of The Johnny Majors show. Some running back broke loose and Majors was yelling "Run, Johnny, Run!" over and over while they played the clip. It is still the worst coach's show moment I have ever heard.

You must've NEVER watched Chuck Stobart's, Rip's or Larry's Coaches shows.

Only coaches show worth a flip was Dana Kirk’s

That looks like someone put a fake projector filter on the video, but I don't know why.

FSU has grainy color footage from the same year.

Don't know about FSU but the Tigers are getting there. Heck they might even be there.

What technology do you think was used to shoot not for broadcast game footage in 1970?

Clear even in 1970 FSU was investing more in their program than we were.
