As you might have guessed, CMU baseball coach Jordan Bischel is in high demand for openings at other college programs, including potentially Florida State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan and Kansas.
Bischel reportedly just completed interviewing for the KU vacancy and U-M, too, reportedly has Bischel on its short list of prospects after losing their coach to Clemson.
Keep an eye on Florida State, where former CMU AD Michael Alford is currently the AD and just fired the Seminoles head coach. While at CMU, Alford hired Bischel in 2018 to be the Chippewas new head coach.
Although, the current Notre Dame head coach is undoubtedly a top candidate at Florida State, being a former FSU player with ties to Tallahassee, Bischel could be in the mix there, too. And if the ND job opens, Bischel could very well be the top candidate for the Fighting Irish, currently playing in the College World Series.
Although Bischel is a great coach and will be hard to replace, CMU has an outstanding program and will have a great pool of candidates to choose from. My hunch is Dave Keilitz could help in the search for a new coach.

As expected, Florida State has hired Notre Dame head coach and FSU alum Link Jarrett as its new head coach.
Jordan Bischel reportedly interviewed for the opening at Michigan on Wednesday, but now could be considered for the opening at Notre Dame, too.
