Blade: A former University of Toledo football player was found guilty on Friday of beating his girlfriend, following a week-long trial in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
Brandon Alexander, 35, of the 2000 block of Perth, was convicted Thursday on a sole count of felonious assault, a second-degree felony. The jury additionally acquitted him of a second felonious assault charge.
Both charges were leveled in May, 2021 after Alexander’s former girlfriend said he brutally beat her on April 24 and April 27 of that year.

Quick search - he played 13 games in '04, 12 games in '05, 0 starts, 27 total tackles.
Yes, it is true that he is a former UT football player. But to lead with that? Really???
