C-USA Spring Meetings - BeatWestern! - 05-22-2022 06:29 PM

The C-USA springs meetings begin tomorrow in Destin, Fla.

It will be interesting to see what news might come out of those meetings in the next few days.

RE: C-USA Spring Meetings - AssKickingChicken - 05-22-2022 06:34 PM

Will the incoming schools be participating? What about the AAC6?

1. Some rounds of golf,
2. a few steak dinners & cocktails, and
3. minutes that the 2022 meeting was a success and next year's meeting will be on ________ date.

Sounds about right. Most "professional group mtgs" I've seen in various industries that involve Spring/Summer retreats are usually non-productive for business but very productive for social activities. Lol

It would be interesting to know which schools get to send reps given 3 are gone, 6 are leaving, and 4 are coming in.

RE: C-USA Spring Meetings - TroyTBoy - 05-22-2022 07:54 PM

I would think the new teams will have a big voice in those meetings - and the TV contract will be one of the main focuses.

It will probably be structured to give both groups their own time together.

Why? Why are you here and why are you commenting on a CUSA meeting? Not getting enough attention on slumbelt board?

Attendees include presidents, athletic directors, and head coaches in football & men's & women's basketball for all 2023 members as well as the six departing for the AAC.

Some topics to be discussed include:

1) Media rights as C-USA approaches the end of its current contract.

2) Accomplishments of current & future members.

3) CUSA Membership timelines & league sustainability.

4) CUSA Championship site selections for the 2022-23 season.

Sorry, but this guy seems to a Tx Tech fan, and regardless, he does not post on the ‘slum belt’ board.

The football tv schedule normally follows this annual meeting by a few days so I'm looking forward to that.

My mistake, I was confusing him for a different poster after seeing the Troy reference but of course that's the TX Tech logo.

TroyTBoy is a borderline troll and very good at their work. The poster is never a full troll but they know how to make posts that are just sensible enough to pass as legitimate threads but trollish enough to stir the pot and cause lots of discourse. Many of TroyTBoy's posts recently have concerned CUSA but that's just recently. They switch their profile picture up quite a bit so I don't think they're a Texas Tech fan either. I'll admit, I enjoy some of the antics.

You’re not going to attack the Central Michigan fan that started this thread?

Well that answers whether the incoming members are invited. I’d think the AAC6 would be there as well though probably don’t have a lot of say.
