She's currently the associate head coach at Wake Forest. Played at Northwestern, previous coaching stops include Georgetown, Towson, LaSalle, Furman, and Illinois State.
In 2021, The Athletic named Dickerson Davis one of 22 assistant women's basketball coaches ready to lead their own program. She was also named a 2017 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Thirty Under 30 honoree.
I like that she has experience at other schools with similar academic standards, mid atlantic schools, and a CAA program.

Yeah, I'm no expert in coaching evaluations (obviously), but I feel like between Wake, GTown, Towson, and Furman she has some experience that should help her here. A solid combo of a CAA team, mid atlantic schools, mid majors, and schools with similar academic restrictions.

And she's been picking up national press regarding her readiness to coach a program. I think that's as good a sign as any.

Her brother and father are basketball trainers and the latter is involved in girls eybl coaching in the DMV area with roots in the Chicago area.
She has recruiting ties in NYC, Chicago, NC, & the DMV

EDD completes her staff with the addition of Dane Sparrow & Sugar Rodgers. Seems only returning coach to the staff from last season is Kenia Cole. Sparrow came from EDDs previous gig at Wake Forest. Spent 8 years at Wake, so there is familiarity and trust there. Rodgers is a Tidewater legend, all-time leading career scorer at Georgetown, a WNBA champion and all-star guard. Was most recently an assistant at her alma mater.
IMO, this is a group that should be able to recruit very well.

Kinda seems like a complete 180 from the old staff, we went with a younger, more energetic group.
On paper seems like a very solid hire, I'm optimistic.

Would not surprise me at all if they make the Dance before our boys do. This staff will recruit like crazy. This Tribe will become a winner in the CAA fast.
