GCU loses to Dixie State and it has zero effect on their ratings? Strange.

I can’t remember how to find NET rankings for past dates, but if my memory serves me well, I think GCU bounced up a few spots after the UVU win and then back down. But it was only by a few spots. The later in the season it gets, the less impact each game has.

Looks like most of the teams expected to win are taking care of business so far. NM State getting some dunks on Dixie. Fun to watch so far.

I don't know but this UTRGV game vs Seattle U... It was bad for my eyes to watch. It became NSFW.

RE: WAC MBB Week #15 - Todor - 02-16-2022 10:58 PM

Here’s what I said last week after the Dixie game.

“What I don’t like is that it was another game where the Aggies get a lead right up to around 15 and start giving it right back. Comebacks and runs will happen, but we need to put teams away better. There was no reason for that to be a 2 possession game with 10 seconds left.”

Almost the exact same scenario. It’s frustrating. I hate letting a lead fritter away like that. Although it didn’t end up quite as close this time, but not far off.

SU undefeated versus Texas WAC schools this season. I don’t mind them

I worked the game. SMH!

Aggies have won all of their WAC games by double digits except for one game. This first against Dixie State. We "only" won by 8. 21-4...07-coffee3

Had to miss it due to Covid. Other than getting whupped by 40 points, were there other issues? The box score looks like we actually fouled a lot less than usual.

I guess it's time to give up on getting a tournament slot. That CBU game was the last real shot at it.

Just a lot of blown assignments on defense which has hurt the team in the close games or not.

ACU loses to Sam 75-71 in OT...

RE: WAC MBB Week #15 - RCI - 02-18-2022 01:35 PM

This was an embarrassing loss for the Wildcats. We were up three with Sam Houston putting the ball in play at the opposite end with 12 seconds to play. All we had to do was hack the inbounds pass, give up one or two free throws, still be up at least one (or more) and have possession of the ball with at most 10 seconds then left to play with our very good guards in the game. Not sure why we did not just execute, then get fouled and shoot the free throws as the clock ticks down. It was a very disappointing loss but Flagg made a great three to tie it up.

Still having growing pains with Tanner in his first season as HC at ACU. It took Golding a few years to get his program sorted out. It might take Tanner some time as well..

You are probably very right. I doubt Tanner will ever make that mistake again.

It was a very rookie mistake that neither Tanner nor our seasoned players should have made. Either way, it's too late now. It's done. We need to win the games in front of us.

ACU coach is dumb.
