Out of John Hopkins University.

Apparently more harm done across many categories.

Their methodology is convenient in that it eliminates all other outcome possibilities - which they all but admit in the paper. Their scope was incredibly narrow, and fails to account for timing and predictions at time of policy creation.

Hint: policies of all kinds use predictive modeling when implementing.

By leaving out predictive modeling and analysis, the authors narrowed all of their 'acceptable' studies down to a minuscule number. I'm curious to see what their peers say in peer review.

This study shows the lockdowns did not save lives. Nothing to do with vaccines.

How many years before historians declare-people realize that this was perhaps the stupidest, most self-destructive era in American history despite all the technological "advances"?

Assuming there is still a USA-Planet Earth then.

That was evident back in March of 2020.

As soon as it started to get serious, (i.e. schools and businesses closing) I new for certain that two things would happen:
1. That the media would shamelessly and detrimentally sensationalize the pandemic.
2. That the pandemic would be shamelessly exploited by both sides of the political aisle.

Needless to say that I have not been disappointed…

One side of the political spectrum: Covid is dangerous and deadly, we should take all possible precautions to prevent our hospitals from being overwhelmed and reduce death counts, get vaccinated to protect yourself and your loved ones, wear a mask.

The other side of the political spectrum: Covid is the common cold, the vaccine doesn't work and is more dangerous than covid, masks don't work, get back to work so I can shop online, hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin cure Covid, my freedoms are more important than your safety.

I could go on and on.

Pretty sure we figured this out in 2015-2016.

Wow! Very sad post. Sorry for their families. Be safe and take precautions for your family and for yourself that you know works.

People arguing with the findings of John Hopkins University (the foremost authority on Covid) is rather pathetic.

A literature review by one JHU professor (who is also a fellow at the Cato Institute and a contributor to the National Review) is not "John Hopkins University".

Did y'all read the actual paper?

Can’t be overstated.

We didn't have real lockdowns in this country compared to other nations, so it's not surprising there was no effect.
