Did he ever sign or enroll w. Cincy? His recruitment seems confusing. Thought I read he committed to Cincy last July.

He walked on this fall IIRC but I don’t think he ever made the roster. Not sure what happened but he would have had a steep hill to climb behind Ridder, Prater, Lichtenberg and Jack Perry.

Originally committed to MO State then decommitted.
UC offered late July 2021 (not sure why)
Other offers besides UC and EMU were FCS schools.

I think he was the player to be named later in the Ben Bryant call up.

Originally committed to MO State then decommitted.
UC offered late July 2021 (not sure why)
Other offers besides UC and EMU were FCS schools.

I think he was the player to be named later in the Ben Bryant call up.

UC did not offer a scholarship to McCoy. He was offered a PWO, took the chance at Higher Ground (our training camp facility), but did not make the roster. All reports were that he had a cannon, but it was more the Revolutionary War kind and not the modern type in the accuracy department.

Also, he was committed to play baseball and football at Missouri State.

We'll take McCoy over a kid that was only using our program for playing time so that he could go back to Cincinnati and be 2nd string.
