My Vols will never schedule your Tigers again in hoops with Penny - africavol - 12-18-2021 01:45 PM
as your head coach ...You know and I know the game could have been played...if the game had been at Fed ex or TBA ...this deal is not nearly as bad...but it was a neutral sit with many fans of both schools traveling a good distance and then Penny cancels it an hour before tip....you can get a rapid covid test result in 15 minutes....SEC conference basketball rule if you have 5 players you play or take an L....there were a bunch of Tiger fans on lower Broadway this morning

Look, Memphis doesn't need UT in basketball. Never has, never will. And UT doesn't need Memphis either. Whatever. Its a fun game but if they want to back out of future series then so be it. Just move on and find another program to play. Much ado about nothing.

Penny can’t just cancel a game you dumb***. Players tested positive. Have you seen all the other games that have gotten canceled a couple hours or hour before tip.

Memphis executive associate athletics director Adam Walker told The Commercial Appeal two Memphis players tested positive for COVID-19. Due to contact tracing, the rest of the team was ruled out due to protocols, Walker said. A source said an unspecified player woke up Saturday not feeling well and subsequently tested positive. The player's roommate was tested and was also positive.
According to one source, the two players who tested positive traveled back to Memphis separate from the rest of the team. While it's unclear which players tested positive, The Commercial Appeal was able to confirm that star freshmen Emoni Bates and Jalen Duren and veteran DeAndre Williams were not among them.
