27-3 with 1:38 left in the 1st half.

It’s basically an SEC world these days. The middle was down this year but the top is still worlds better than everyone. Bama and Georgia still do what they do and everyone else just hoped they get lucky against them.

The B10 sycophants I know can't deny the mounting evidence but refuse to admit their conference is at best a distant second to one south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Some of the guys I know who still live in Columbus get it. They like to say they consider themselves “An SEC type program in the Midwest”. They recognize a major gap in talent between their program and say, Illinois or Minnesota.

If we are being honest, we just don’t have the depth of talent here in the Midwest like they do down south. Georgia and Alabama, individually, have more 5-star recruits than the entire PAC12 and BXII (including Texas and Oklahoma) put together. Taking it back to UC, recruiting the “state of Cincinnati” is important, but we need to continue supplementing our rosters with these guys from Georgia and Florida as we’ve done for the past 15 years. This past team would not be who it was without Myjai Sanders, Jerome Ford, Marcus Brown (Florida), Joel Dublanko (Florida, by way of Washington) and Curtis Brooks (Virginia).

100% agree with this. Some of our best Bearcats have come from VA, GA, and FL. Hopefully, with our forthcoming B12 membership we'll be able to dip our toe into TX, MS, and LA as well. i realize that there is fierce competition for recruits in the b12/SEC country and we have finite resources so there is risk of stretching ourselves thin on something so speculative. it's definitely more wish list than necessity but it would be nice.

ED: With Denbrock departing and Gino, presumably, assuming the OC role, this is an opportunity not just to bring in an outside voice to coach position groups (TEs and QBs) as other posters have suggested but possibly bring in someone who can operate in the TX/LA/MS footprint.

Cory Kiner starting for LSU. They are playing very short handed.

This bowl was at such a weird time. A tuesday night after all other bowl games but the championship were played? So odd

RE: Bowl Season - BearcatDave - 01-05-2022 06:38 AM

I was glad to see KSU win and another SEC team lose

RE: Bowl Season - doss2 - 01-05-2022 11:54 AM

CONFERENCE (BOWL TEAMS) RECORD
AMERICAN (4) 3-1
ACC (6) 2-4
BIG 12 (7) 5-2 .714
BIG TEN (10) 6-4
C-USA (8) 3-5
INDEPENDENTS (4) 2-2
MAC (8) 3-5
MOUNTAIN WEST (6) 5-1
PAC-12 (5) 0-5
SEC (12) 5-7
SUN BELT (4) 3-1

Who cancelled games? HA BC VA UCLA TAMU

I think the AAC teams Memphis ECU SMU would have beat HA BC VA making the AAC the winner at 6-1 vs MW 5-2

The AAC performed well as did our new conference the B12.

Bowl game ratings knocked it out of the park this year. I know people question why there are so many but it's because people tune in to watch them. When the first responder bowl between Air Force and Louisville and the Independence Bowl between UAB & BYU draw more than Steph Curry's 3 point record breaking game it shows you these games aren't going anywhere soon.

NDSU is again FCS Champion by beating MSU 38-10

It was over in the first quarter. Dominance by the Bison. Mostly from their offensive line.

They seem to have enough sense to remain the big fish in a small bowl rather than trying to move up.
