Outside of the 4 teams in the national championship games, what if every single player (no matter what year they are) that has ANY chance to ever play in the NFL or the CFL sat out their bowl game?

Why risk an additional chance at injury?

Based on this thread no one should be critical.

Would make for some 'interesting' bowl games.....

I mentioned that the other day --and I took it a step beyond --what if all the players that think they have a shot at the NFL (which is probably most) LOL----what if they all opted out when they thought they were eliminated from making the COLLEGE PLAYOFFS--4 teams ---like when the team lost 2 games

I mean whats the difference ---bowl or regular season---you are risking injury either way

They are playing by the same rules as the coaches...

If we were 11-1 Silverfield would have left too

Then he is a liar 03-lmfao remember he will never leave us LOL---but I think you are right

AGAIN calling names and insulting EVERYONE---the MODS are watching you ---your time is fast approaching again

Hawaii Bowl = Senior Bowl

Hahahaha

As much as the bowls have cheapened --I would say that the Hawaii Bowl far exceeds the status of the Senior Bowl--for the single reason that the MEMPHIS STATE TIGERS are playing in it

I can't say that I have ever watched the Senior Bowl--but have never missed watching the TIGERS in a bowl

Therefore --Hawaii Bowl >>>>>>Senior Bowl and it's not even close

Yes, the same number of scouts will be watching you at either game. Genius.

Hahahahahaha

Man you just help can't help yourself can you --slur after slur after slur

I wonder how many MEMPHIS/Ala/Mich/Ohio St/LSU/Penn St/ Sou Cal/UCLA/ND etc etc fans will be glued to their sets watching the prestigious Senior Bowl---as opposed to the bowls their teams are in

Do you really think the scouts don't already know the strengths and weaknesses by now of all the players in the Senior Bowl----IMO if you are opting out of your teams bowl then you should opt out of all so-called all star bowls as well --why risk it--they already know you anyway------------and if the truth was known in the NFL teams boardroom --they probably deem a player that would skip their own teams bowl------as a player that is --LESS THAN A TEAM PLAYER

I haven't given you a second thought for so long, but when I read these articles it made me laugh at you all over again.

I did not bump, maybe the bumper wanted to show how stupid the people seem who were criticizing Austin for not playing in a bowl game that never even happened

RE: Austin Opting Out - holyterror - 02-05-2022 06:17 PM

Looks like Austin finished with 2 catches, 1 of which went for 39 yards, and a kickoff return for 6 yards.

He had a pretty bad drop over the middle, but also got open quite a few times with Howell and others not giving him the ball. If you look at the composite of all articles, you would be hard pressed to find a player that improved his stock more than Austin did.

The kick of return was the opening kick off where he ran and handed off for a reverse that didn't work.

He caught a pass early, had a couple over thrown to him and a couple under thrown. The second to the last play of the game caught the 39 yarder. He was open for a touchdown on the last play but the ball was under thrown for the interception

Parham raised his stock plenty too. Rave reviews from a bunch.

What little I watched his QB was running for his life & never threw to Austin.
