Georgia WR Visiting CMU - BeatWestern! - 12-03-2021 10:43 AM Wide receiver Shamar Sandgren (6-1, 180) of Itawamba (Miss.) Community College announced via Twitter he's taking an official visit to Central Michigan this weekend, Dec. 3-5. A 2020 graduate of Savannah (Ga.) Islands High School where he was rated a 3-star recruit, Sandgren originally committed to Western Kentucky in June 2019 before decommitting from the Hilltoppers in February 2020 and signing with UT-Chattanooga. At Islands High School, Sandgren was a three-time all-region receiver who totaled 820 yards and nine TDs as a senior, while at Itawamba CC this past season he totaled 720 yards and six TDs in nine games. The Chippewas offered a scholarship to Sandgren on Oct. 18 and conducted an in-home visit with him Wednesday. Sandgren is a former teammate at Islands High School with WR Langston Lewis, who committed to CMU June 28 and is a member of the Chippewas 2022 recruiting class. https://twitter.com/dequan_mar11/status/1466567297368219652 RE: Georgia WR Visiting CMU - ChipsNbeer - 12-03-2021 01:54 PM (12-03-2021 10:43 AM)BeatWestern! I believe the CMU coaches know a lot more about football and recruiting than I ever will. I hope their plans work out. The kid seems to have itchy feet and jumps from team to team quite a bit. How much eligibility would he have? RE: Georgia WR Visiting CMU - CHIPPEWA ENEMA - 12-03-2021 02:12 PM I agree with CN, this kid is another Dormandy/Sirmon. I don’t like jumpers. Too much of a risk. And their performance leaves a lot to be desired. PASS. RE: Georgia WR Visiting CMU - BeatWestern! - 12-03-2021 04:32 PM I think with his high school buddy Lewis coming in, too, the two of them will make for a potential dynamic duo at the wideout position. Sandgren should have three years to play three. RE: Georgia WR Visiting CMU - NIU007 - 12-03-2021 07:12 PM Your eyes are getting sleepy.. .. you can't keep your eyes open...... NIU is a great place to play... .. RE: Georgia WR Visiting CMU - BeatWestern! - 12-14-2021 08:18 PM As expected, Shamar Sandgren announced his commitment to CMU today. FIRE UP CHIPS! :) RE: Georgia WR Visiting CMU - BeatWestern! - 02-02-2022 11:49 AM Shamar Sandgren is returning to Itawamba (Miss.) Community College for another year and will not be signing with CMU. https://twitter.com/dequan_mar11/status/1488912674775875590/photo/1 FIRE UP CHIPS! :) RE: Georgia WR Visiting CMU - NashChip - 02-02-2022 01:18 PM (02-02-2022 11:49 AM)BeatWestern! I would think the Maryland transfer, Carlos Carrierre 6'5" will be looking to fill Jacorey Sullivan's spot. |
