I'm sure its happened before, but I cannot ever recall seeing a conference make a billboard welcoming a school for joining the conference.
In this case, it really does make sense. The Sun Belt has added Virginia and not many in the area know about the conference. Wouldn't be surprised to see one for ODU as well.
It's an incredibly smart move by the conference.
Most people in Virginia know very little about the Sun Belt. This is an opportunity to build interest and fan support for us and the entire conference.
Win-win for Sun Belt.
Lose-lose for the CAA.
