Congrats. I changed my mind on him when I saw Elliot was good to go. 03-banghead

The guy I was playing had Elliot. I about vomited when they overturned Pollard’s receiving TD, put the ball on 1/2 yard line and the Cowboys let Elliot run it in…

For me it was in DFS games. I was ready to go with Pollard when I saw Elliot might be out. Some players did well having both on their roster.

The Aints had shut down the Dallas run game tonight. Then, Tony Pollard got a sweep. Outran half the state of Louisiana and pretty much put this one on ice.

Sat Pollard this week. Regret that. Picked up the Cowboys D about 5 minutes before kickoff. Glad for that.

Saints fanbase folding harder than a tent in a hurricane.

The Saints have a really tough run defense every year. They are consistently good in that area.

The bottled up Zeke and Pollard nearly the whole game.

After last weeks 100 yard kickoff return and tonights big run, I'd say everyone in the country knows who Tony Pollard is now. Both games were national prime time showcases.

RE: Pollard - ericsrevenge76 - 12-03-2021 12:41 AM

The cowboys line is still good, but its not been the same since Travis Frederick developed that nerve disease and had to retire. He is still only 30 years old, he should be in his prime. Instead he's retired.

They just aren't as dominate in the middle, Frederick was one of the best centers in the NFL. He was dominate in the run game. They pass protect well as long as Tyron Smith is in the lineup, its a struggle when he is out.

It would be nice if they could upgrade to a more elite center in the offseason.

RE: Pollard - DallasTiger - 12-03-2021 01:11 AM

Not sure if this will work, but the run is on YouTube.

Zeke has been hampered by an ankle/knee injury the last few weeks. He really should have been sitting this week too.

The cowboys running game is best when both guys are in and healthy. Pollard is not a very good short yardage back and does not physically punish the defense like Zeke but he has a lot more big play capability and explosion.

Pollard is never going to be at his best as the full time RB, he is much better when you can use him in multiple areas and misdirection.

I know some here keep calling for him to be the starter but that limits his game in a lot of ways. You want to put him in situations where you maximize his talent and abilities, not just blindly plug him as the workhorse back.

The cowboys were winning and playing their best when both guys were playing together and both guys being used to maximize their specific skills.

Worked well for Deangelo with the Panthers, look how long his career lasted compared to other RB's.

DeAngelo is a wealthy man and shared minutes at RB, hopefully Pollard will have the same result-

I love sweep plays. Also, Hill isn't so bad for a third string QB. He is a pretty good runner, not so much passing. Jalen Hurts is like that too.

I am not sure how Dallas can afford to keep Pollard. He is going to make mega bucks somewhere.....probably not here.

The nice part is he is running like a Super Star but Zeke is getting most of the running plays. Seems like a really great situation for Tony....less of a chance of getting hurt yet sill racking up the playing time to get a big contract.

IKE's sources say Zeke will be traded and Tony will stay and get BIG MONEY

RE: Pollard - Tiger46 - 12-03-2021 05:49 PM

Had a friendly argument with a co-worker who is Ohio State grad the first of the year about who was faster, Zeke or Tony. Haven't heard from him in a few weeks.

Ike clearly pulls a lot of this stuff out of his rear end.

Pollard isn't an every down back, that would be a total waste of his skill set. And no one is going to be willing to trade for Zeke and his fat contract coming off an injury plagued season. There is LESS than zero chance that anyone would trade for him and it does not even make basic football sense for the cowboys even if you could trade Zeke.

Pollard is not a traditional tailback, he is a specialist with a unique skill set. At their best the cowboys are a power running team with big play weapons to boot.

Ike reveals a lot about his pretend "sources" when he posts things like this.

Man people say some stupid stuff. Look what Ike just said. 03-lmfao

Zeke is a between the tackles power back, not a breakaway speed guy. They literally could not be on more opposite ends of that spectrum.

Imagine someone arguing Eli Manning was faster than Lamar Jackson.

Its THAT stupid.

RE: Pollard - memphisike - 12-03-2021 10:25 PM

Remember Jerry traded some Dude named Herschel Warker for 10 viking players
Jerry may not get 10 but Zeke would bring a couple of decent players and 3 good draft picks.
Ike believes a running back would be in the mix so Tony wouldn't get burned out.
Jerry knows football

Ike is making a fool of himself.

This is not 1989, Herschel was not saddled with a 90 million dollar contract and was not coming off an injury plagued season. Not to mention the fact that NO ONE in the NFL trades high draft picks for a RB in the 21st century. Literally NO ONE.

You are exposing yourself as a totally clueless fraud by making these arguments.
