Pollard - MemTigers1998 - 11-25-2021 07:02 PM

Just lit up Jerry world with a 100 yard kickoff return for a TD

RE: Pollard - 450bench - 11-25-2021 07:03 PM

His next contract is gonna be $100 million. A legit star.

RE: Pollard - tigerlands - 11-25-2021 07:18 PM

The success that the Memphis RB's are having is crazy good.

RE: Pollard - danny1 - 11-25-2021 07:32 PM

They really talked up his history at Memphis.

RE: Pollard - SeñorTiger - 11-25-2021 08:00 PM

Last minute fantasy pickup of Pollard paid off big time for me today!

That was my favorite part.

That was a great run.

Congrats. I changed my mind on him when I saw Elliot was good to go. 03-banghead

North and south running, no stop and starting. Weaving in traffic, no hard cuts. That's what keeps his speed up. Of course he has great vision and instincts. He is just fun to watch.

RE: Pollard - Tiger87 - 11-26-2021 11:20 AM

I believe it was he (not Henderson?) who had the kick return to open the season a few years back that required a payout by a local jeweler - and that was deemed against regulations at the time. Did anyone cash in on that?

I think that was his first one. The one that broke like a 7 or 8 year span without a td return.

More like 20 years, since the 96 game against UT. I'll never forget that, it was against Temple. When he was at the 50 with nobody near him, I thought I was going to cry. Here are all 7 of them...

That was cool! Thanks! Pollard was special and so were our special teams.

The guy I was playing had Elliot. I about vomited when they overturned Pollard’s receiving TD, put the ball on 1/2 yard line and the Cowboys let Elliot run it in…

Pollard was available to pickup in your league? Is it a 10 team league with shallow rosters?

Zeke most likely gonna sit at NOLA next week. Pollard should be starting

Zeke has been hampered by an ankle/knee injury the last few weeks. He really should have been sitting this week too.

The cowboys running game is best when both guys are in and healthy. Pollard is not a very good short yardage back and does not physically punish the defense like Zeke but he has a lot more big play capability and explosion.

Pollard is never going to be at his best as the full time RB, he is much better when you can use him in multiple areas and misdirection.

I know some here keep calling for him to be the starter but that limits his game in a lot of ways. You want to put him in situations where you maximize his talent and abilities, not just blindly plug him as the workhorse back.

The cowboys were winning and playing their best when both guys were playing together and both guys being used to maximize their specific skills.

Worked well for Deangelo with the Panthers, look how long his career lasted compared to other RB's.
