Has anyone seen an early line on this game? I am hearing we may be a slight underdog and if that is true, then Vegas is begging you to take the Tigers....which is scary bc Vegas likes to hold onto their money.

Memphis has way too much talent to lose this game if they limit turnovers it’s a blow out if they don’t limit turnovers they will tire them out like WKU. Their wings aren’t big enough to guard all of our wings and Storm Murphy seems to be the heart of the team. Alo and Earl are gonna have to wear him down. If they play man they will lose. Look for Emoni, Lester, Landers, and Earl to have pretty good games.

I would just relentlessly attack the rim and try and get Alluma and Mutt in foul trouble

Va Tech as the favorite says a lot about Penny's coaching abilities.

26 turnovers. My man should be embarrassed. I don't care what the situation was. 26 turnovers is sad. And it's not a new problem.

I expect us to struggle to beat good teams. So does Vegas, apparently.

We are an unproven team. expect vegas to think that.

The only saving grace is that we can tire teams out and cause them to play uncharacteristically. It’s still no excuse to turn the ball over as much as they do especially the upperclassman. For as fast as they play I think 15 is a number people could live with.

15 turnovers and a 70-66 win

With only 15 turnovers at their pace I think they win easily

Kenpom has us winning by 1. It will probably open around there and who knows which way it will go.

Who starts at point guard tomorrow night?

RE: ***The Official Virginia Tech vs Memphis Basketball Thread*** - memtigbb - 11-23-2021 03:36 PM

Though freshmen Emoni Bates and Jalen Duren are among the worst culprits in terms of turnovers per game – 3.3 and 3.0, respectively – it’s starting point guard Alex Lomax who is turning the ball over a team-worst 41.7% of the time he’s on the floor. There is only one other player in the American Athletic Conference who plays at least 40% of his team’s minutes with a higher turnover rate, according to KenPom.

There’s no line or favorite yet… My guess Memphis opens at -2 and it becomes a pick’em by tip off.

There’s no line or favorite yet…

Yeah, I know.
But we have a couple running around stating it as fact, and using it to troll.
