First game is this Thursday, on the road at Coppin State.

We were picked to finish 8th in the CAA, with Sydney Wagner on the pre-season 2nd team all conference.

The two Ivy League transfers..who scored double figure average ppg their last years there...will probably both start
and will help the team immensely.

Despite the horrible memories, 2020 did in fact happen.

RE: 20-21 WBB Season - Tribe32 - 11-09-2021 04:52 PM

Neither of them averaged double figures. Sramac averaged 8 and Casey 4.5. Remember that they didn't play at all last year due to Covid so that was a while ago. Casey had a really good year three years ago, so something happened the last year there. I met both of them at homecoming and they seemed to be pretty excited about the season. Two of their seniors are out for the year with injury also.

Which two seniors are out?

Also, anybody, please remind me where Eva Hodgson transferred to.

Don't want to upset you but she's at Chapel Hill.

Stover (ankle surgery) and Krause (ACL) are injured. Krause would have had meaningful minutes.

Thanks. Yes, that does upset me. I was hoping maybe it was UConn. I’ll root for her to score 30 points a game and for UNC to still lose.

Thanks. Losing Emma is too bad. I’ve been waiting years for her to break out (as has she).

So I looked up Eva's stats for their game yesterday:

She did not start but played 25 minutes (the most any player had was 27).

She shot 5-5 from the field, including 2-2 from beyond the arc.

She went 1-2 from the free throw line. Her total points were 13.

She also had 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 2 fouls, and 3 turnovers.

She'll probably crack the starting lineup in a game or two.

Lost badly to Coppin State

I didn’t watch the game but looks like we were in it until 3Q. Allowing 30 points after the break is bad.

Hey, the women stomped Randolph (whomever they might be), 83-31 this afternoon at Kaplan.

A win is a win!

I watched most of the game today just to see the new faces. Not just the freshmen but also the sophomores. Casey (a starter) looked good and so did Stevenson off the bench. Others were good, too, but l haven’t learned their names yet.

We beat a pretty solid Mason team 65-54. Mason was 3-1 entering the game, with their only loss being to a top 25 Tech

We almost frittered it away, squandering a 7-point lead in the last 90 seconds before pulling it out in overtime. Riley Casey definitely looks like a keeper -- she put the team on her back and carried them to victory in the overtime. I believe the announcer said that she scored 9 points in overtime.
