Sorry BDK but it's Tribe week and the Dukes are rolling. We need to get on this hype train first thing Monday morning. This game video is only being broadcast (I think) on FloSports (unless the CAA pulls the plug on that too) so there aren't network TV options this week. I hear there is also a "viewing party" at the Atlantic Union Bank Center in Harrisonburg that begins at 4p on Saturday too.
Who's in for the last trip to Williamsburg for the Dukes?

This may also be the last time W&M ever hosts JMU. I doubt it would happen two years in a row (this year and next) which makes me think this may be the last one.

Sounds like a good weekend to paint the other ‘burg Purple.
Might stop by Williamsburg area and make a weekend trip out of it.

A few I haven’t started now. I would almost prefer someone else start the thread. Then I don‘t feel obligated to get a detailed one started early in the week. This week I don‘t have time till late tomorrow or Wed anyway..

For an old timer like me, I am looking forward to going down there for more than likely the last JMU at W&M game. Me +3.
Been going to JMU at W&M games since the 1980s. Good memories. The Eriq Williams dive for the winning 2 pointer and capping a big comeback was one of the best memories. Of course the 2004 playoff game is at the top too.

I really want to attend the ODU at JMU basketball game this Saturday too so a little bummed about missing that. Wish that could have been rescheduled.

Gotta be there to put the other bookend on Zable Stadium. My very first college football game was at W&M more than 40 years ago and I fell in love with the game.
This very well will be the last time JMU ever plays in Zable stadium which probably makes it my last trip too unless an IVY league school visits Williamsburg.
I will miss the charm of the historic area and the comedy of nerds attempting to play football.
I will also miss the 20 minute commute to a “road” game.

WM was the only road game I ever went to to see JMU football. I enjoyed the stadium and the atmosphere. I'm sure it hasn't changed much in 30 years.

I will definitely miss playing W&M annually. A wonderful school and people. The trip to Williamsburg and a game in their stadium is a treat.
W&M fits nicely in the public Ivy class and as a Commonwealth taxpayer, I love that we have this option for our students. JMU enrollment and investment in athletics over the past 25 years put our institution into a different realm especially for football. Our move may be very good for Tribe football, if they are to stay in the CAA. Most of the remaining schools will have similar enrollments, but the Tribe will have above average facilities and good following.
Plan is to make the final game at W&M.

My first college football game was back around 1965. Our High School coach took the varsity and jv to see W&M
play Furman.
I met Dirty at the JMU/Nerd game back in 2004. Fed him some fried Turkey. Rain game and King George native DD Boxley
made the "catch". First night game ever at Zable with trucked in lights. Lots of good history at Zable. It is also when Ratke began his streak to become the all time FCS kicker. Tyler Gray pulled a groin muscle on a kickoff that he almost whiffed and enter Ratke.

DD Boxley still in top 10 plays ever for me. Our seats were near the end zone right where he made that spectacular catch. Hard to believe that was 2004, great game & atmosphere...

Do you mean this game? So gratifying to punk the Nerds on national TV. I’ve probably seen 30+ games in Zable and that was, by far, the best and most engaged crowd ever.
