Ahem.

Ok. On salaries... Their facilities stink...

The visiting announcers get a folding table and a pop up tent for cover, so there is that.

Hope it works out for them and he can consistently deliver in the AAC. 10 years is a helluva contract length for a coach.

I know, right? I can understand the amount, but 10 years is pretty stupid.

I don't lol. Also kinda funny how half of the fans in that pic are WKU fans

I'd bet this is mostly UTSA knowing that he will move on and trying to make bank when the other school has to buy him out.

Absolutely stupid. Coastal made that same stupid decision with their first football coach and it seriously came back to bite them. Looked great when we were brand new to the FCS and ranked, but then we had like 4 years of 5-6 win seasons and that deal looked stupider by the day.

Guy absolutely deserves a raise/extension, but 10 years is overkill.

Unless he's poached by a bigger school and they get a payday out of it, they will come to regret this decision.

Could easily turn into a Seth Littrell situation at UNT if he doesn't take the Texas Texh job.

Today I learned there is a worse division 1 baseball facility than GSU.

I was thinking of that guy. He was one of the hottest names in coaching jobs that year and and it didn't work out or he didn't pursue them or whatever and now nobody talks about him at all.

Relax. UTSA was just stepping up to the plate to ensure he is the coach at UTSA for a few years. He has an undefeated/ranked team and the salary puts him in the top 3rd of AAC coaching staff. There is also a considerable budget increase that the administration has talked about including several projects to build a a new basketball/vollyball stadium and upgrade baseball and softball fields. All of this could start as early as next year.

Look up Georgia State’s baseball “stadium” and then look up Georgia Southern’s and you’ll have your answer. 03-lmfao

This is what they are doing. There are several jobs open and/or about to open up in Texas. They are smart and will make whoever signs him away pay for their new coach.

He's not winning with anything he has built though. Once Litrell ran out of guys that he didn't recruit, UNT finds themselves with 1 win. What happens when Taylor runs out of the previous staff's players? Transfer portal? That has worked out well for Arkansas State and Texas State...

You may actually desire for him to be hired away rather than run the risk of UTSA falling into mediocrity where no one will touch him or his buyout.
