Not surprised to see this. Jon Alger will have his chance to retire from JMU or leave on his own accord. He's not going to get the boot. He may not be universally loved but he hasn't done anything to merit losing his job (unless your handle is DukemanX that is)

I didn't see Post #7 as a political statement, but rather a social one. Some things may not be fun to talk about but are extremely important and should not be ignored. Like Covid. It isn't a political issue, it is a medical/social issue that isn't fun to talk about. But, if you choose to see it as a political statement, you will.
I may say that I don't believe in wearing a face mask all day long because breathing my own carbon dioxide is extremely unhealthy. That is a medical statement. It wasn't meant as a political statement but I can see how it could be misinterpreted.
It is really easy to simply ignore speech you don't agree with. Everything isn't about "a L or a R."
Now, please, it's football season and our Dukes are crushing it. Lots to be happy about and talk about!

What were the areas where the BOV thought he had truly excelled to warrant this extension? I'm wondering what he did that was so off the charts that it deserves five more years in their eyes.
