Yeah i would love for that to happen and who knows it might happen. This is not a pay game its part of that 1 for 1 we signed with them. I think they will be here next season. We have a pay game with them in 2023.

If we lose, but play them close, keep it within 2 scores, I'll consider that good progress and retain hope for winning a few CUSA games. These next three games are important measuring sticks. Go Monarchs!

If you looked at the roster during Saturdays game, the # of freshmen who played, and a lot, would tell you not to make judgments after so few games.

Yes, I just want to see improvement as the season goes a long. There will be some hiccups when you play a lot of inexperienced players.
I would hope we can at least cover that huge spread. I know Liberty has a potential first round pick at QB, are they stacked otherwise?

Gilesfan - We brought back 20 starters from last year's 16th Ranked 10-1 squad. We have added some transfers who have pushed some of those starters to back up roles. Malik Willis, who has family roots in Tidewater, may turn out to be the #1 overall draft pick after this season based on draftnik projections. Take that for what it is worth coming from a Liberty alum.

Contrast that with Wake Forest's rank at 41.

FWIW- footballoutsiders had Liverty at 42 last year and Wake at 57. They haven't updated week 2 yet but had Liberty 85 (too low bc FCS games don't count for them) and Wake at 43.
Liberty vs. Campbell 27-17 in first downs. 537 yards to 269. Kind of what would be expected.
Vs. Troy, they had 22-13 first down advantage. 339 yards to 232.
Defense looks like its tough. Offense maybe more of a work in progress. We are going to have to stop the run. They haven't been super successfull with the run (certainly not bad) but they will likely run it over 40 times.

Yep,their qb is very very good and he will be a headache, but I will be there rooting us on. I do not want any debbie downers here. ODU has bigger and faster athletes than before. We will only get better. The longer we hang in, the better we will be. Heres my optimistic opinion.
ODU 37, Liberty 31. I will never predict us to be bad. Always rooting for us. This is going to be like VT game.We just have to hang around. Answer their scores and we will see. Reign on.

Yep. And its not even close. They are ranked higher than UVA, NCState etc. 3rd in "receiving votes". Would love to beat them and knock them out of there.

Yep. Im actually hoping that win over HU gets us out of the "bottom 10" too. If we can beat an FBS team, it will hopefully keep us out of it all season.

They seem to be the highest rated opponent at the moment but Im skeptical that they are really a better team than Wake. Hopefully, they don't look like a top 25 team vs. us.
Not that I can reasonably expect it, but it would be nice to see that scumbag Freeze take an L.
