I figure someone will start an Arkansas game thread tomorrow, but use this thread to comment on other games this week.
So far this week, CUSA has dominated its competition but there were a lot of incredibly weak opponents. UAB shutout Jacksonville State 31-0 on Wednesday, Western Kentucky smacked UT-Martin 59-21 yesterday (the HBU QB transfer threw for 424 yards and 7 TD's), and FIU destroyed LIU 48-10.
The opponents start to get much tougher for CUSA teams starting tonight - Duke is at Charlotte and ODU is at Wake Forest in less than an hour.

Charlotte scores a late TD (just under 3 minutes to go) to take a 24-21 lead over Duke. Regardless of how the game finishes, they've battled Duke on even terms.
ODU is getting killed at Wake Forest.

Virginia Tech upset #10 UNC and their (supposed) Heisman candidate QB 17-10, and it was not that close. Some really horrendous clock management by Mac Brown in the closing minutes.

Duke lost almost it's entire starting team to graduation. They're projected to finish dead last in the ACC this year.

Yeah but a win over a P5 team is still a big win.
Duke had taken the lead back but Charlotte answers and wins 31-28.

Eastern Washington 35, UNLV 33
South Dakota St 42, Colorado St 23
Honorable mention:
South Dakota 14, Kansas 17
The only G5 over P5 result so far:
Duke 28, Charlotte 31
Looking at the schedule, I don't think there's much chance for more of either sort today. A lot of middling and lower end FBS teams are either playing each other or playing the top end of P5.

I like Ohio over Syracuse and Vegas does too.

LaTech faring much better against Miss St. than Rice did the last time the Owls faced the MSSt. 31-14 LaTech at the start of the 4Q.

Mississippi State wins 35-34. Louisiana Tech had led 34-14 at one point in the 4th quarter and missed a 46 yard FG on the final play. So two CUSA teams combined to be outscored 42-0 to SEC teams in the 4th quarter on the road today (or actually 42-3).

Houston now down 24-21 to Texas Tech after leading 21-7 earlier in the 3rd quarter. They can still come back but they might be having QB issues of their own (Tune has 3 interceptions - sound familiar?).
UTSA is another CUSA team trying to post an impressive road win over a P5 school. But a lot of time remains - they lead the Illini by 3 in the 3rd quarter.

Tune just threw his 4th pick. Tech outscored UH 31-0 in the 2nd half and wins 38-21.
Houston may have a good week with a Big 12 invitation, but like Rice, they ended up losing by a decent margin in a game that was a lot closer than the final score indicated. Both schools have unpopular head coaches and unpopular starting quarterbacks (for now).

UTSA trying to hang on at Illinois - trying to get the conference another P5 win in what hasn't been a bad first week for CUSA (despite 4th quarter collapses by Rice and La Tech).
Montana upsets #20 Washington. The Big Sky has had a big week too (also UC Davis beating Tulsa). Other P5 losses include Vandy (to East Tennessee State?) and Georgia Tech

The Big Sky also had Eastern Washington beat UNLV in their new stadium debut. Washington State lost at home to Utah State. Both Washington PAC teams got eliminated from the playoff before the Mariners this year.
