It is indeed a point of pride for a University when former athletes like Grant Long and TJ Lang are hired as analysts and reporters for media networks. Those jobs speak less to their athletic accomplishments and more to their mental capacity to analyze game situations and convey their views in an intellectual and polished manner. One might actually deduce that EMU has an effective academic program as a result.
