about the implications of the OU/UT news, and what dominoes might fall that affect the ACC. Specifically, what would happen if the ACC added two Big 12 teams (for example, Kansas and West Virginia). How would a 16 team ACC be organized for football?

My presumption is that many members would want to consider a true north south divisional split at the NC/VA line. All the NC schools join the four to their south. Hypothetically, if the league were to do this and adopt a structure in which division champs were determined by their round robin record only, they could mandate that all members play at least one cross division opponent every year, while also playing at least 10 games every year against P5 opponents. Notre Dame doesn't count as a non-division opponent, but they do count as a P5. They could leave it up to the schools to work out the details.

What opponents would you want your school to play for those three out of division games (in order of priority)?

So....
North
BC Cuse Pitt WVU Kansas Louisville UVA VT
South
UNC Duke NCSU WF Clemson GT FSU Miami

I would want VT's permanent partner to be Miami as they've been the premiere game on our schedule for 30 years now. It's hard to pick 2 and 3 because almost all the teams I want to play most are in the South. Probably #2 GT and #3 Clemson. But I really want to play FSU and the North Carolina schools too.

You know you may have a problem with realignment addiction if you daydream about it. But I resemble that statement.
