My grandson, a big TIGER fan, graduated from OSU. He’s happy. He knows his basketball. He worked for the Charlotte Hornets the the Phoenix Suns.
Our daughter works for the Thunder.
I wish him the best.

I wish him the best, but he’s most likely being used by the people around him that are looking for the quick cash.

I could understand if he were going to move to a school with a veteran coach with a proven track record of developing bigs for the NBA, but his moves seem to be motivated by which coach just had a top 5 pick, and those guys typically would have gone top 5 straight out of HS. Moussa could have benefited tremendously with 3 years of guidance from Larry Brown & Penny. His people should have been begging Penny to keep him on the roster, but instead, he’s moving to OSU to play for an unproven coach whose only accomplishment is offering a package deal to Cade Cunningham & his brother.

Completely agree. He needed someone known for developing players, bonus if it’s someone who could develop bigs. This doesn’t make a lot of sense.

if you watched Moussa play, you saw a kid who was often out of position and had very little feel for the game, yet he was extremely gifted athletically and oftentimes made up for his lack of understanding with his Uber athleticism. The kid needs playing time… lots of playing time… in order to develop a rudimentary understanding of the game. He did not grow up playing & watching basketball. He does not have the benefit of 10 years on the AAU circuit & countless pick up games. Heck, last year was his first of playing ball against players equal in skill & size, so he’s not a 1 & done kind of player. I have no idea who the people are who are guiding this kid, but they can’t be interested in anything more than cashing in as quickly as they can, even if it means sacrificing his development.

Why does this keep getting repeated as fact?

It could possibly be that Penny and Moussa just didn't work...Similar to DJ and Penny.

Penny has said many times since this season ended that he was changing the environment around the program...Some guys may not have been buying in like Penny felt they should.

Someone on Twitter said this will be Moussa's fifth different program in five years. At some point, you can't blame the coach.
