Happy Anniversary - MJY - 06-23-2021 02:11 PM

18 years ago tonight, Humber threw a pitch, Stansberry fielded a chopper and threw to Sinisi, and a dog pile ensued. Still very thankful I was there.

does anyone have a high resolution jpeg of the dogpile? I want to use it as a screensaver on a 4k screen used mostly for sports

The best one I found on Rice sites was this ... but it's only about 1.25MB in filesize: https://scholarship.rice.edu/jp2/viewer.html?url=https://scholarship.rice.edu/bitstream/handle/1911/71078/wrc02713.jp2

There is also a nearly 10MB image from Reuters/Alamy from a different vantage point:-- https://www.alamy.com/rice-owls-players-celebrate-winning-the-college-baseball-world-series-beating-stanford-two-games-to-one-in-omaha-nebraska-june-23-2003-the-14-2-victory-gave-rice-their-first-national-championship-in-any-ncaa-team-sport-at-left-is-rice-pitcher-philip-humber-21-who-pitched-a-complete-game-reutersrick-wilking-rtwsv-image381273770.html

But you'd have to pay something to be able to download/use it. (I'd hope the personal use fee would be less than the $20 charge for "presentations & newsletters".)

Thanks Mike!

Makes a great 'art piece' when the TV is off.

I tell people that it was the second-happiest day of my life.
