It is for the greater good comrade.

Now shut up and do what your government tells you to do.

RE: Prices Rise Sharply - Bronco'14 - 06-10-2021 08:30 AM

Gas $3.20 here. Highest I've seen it

RE: Prices Rise Sharply - fsquid - 06-10-2021 08:37 AM

Gas here has now hit where it was in 2012 and 2018

RE: Prices Rise Sharply - EverRespect - 06-10-2021 08:41 AM

Holding steady here at $2.85 since the run on gas last month. Hasn't gone up further nor dropped back down.

I haven't paid too much attention to it... but where I could buy a pack of bacon for $5.99, it is now $9.76. Odd price, but a big jump.

Prices are now as high as they were in 2008 and prior to that since 1991. Seems the "experts" are saying it's tempory as the economy opens up and demand is outpacing supply. Once production ramps back up supply should even out and inflation pressures decrease. While I can see that logic, it doesn't take into account the tremendous amount of stimulus that's been pumped into the economy; although that could be part of the demand side of the equation. Whatever the case, given the admin wanting to input ANOTHER couple trillion via the "infrastructure" bill I have feeling inflationary pressures may last longer that what the "experts" think which is about a year.

Just got a letter in the mail from a vendor that products across the board would all have a 4.5% increase. What we are watching is nothing more than gross ignorance in action fueled by greed in the name of Social Justice for fools to have something to believe in. All the while MSM runs cover so the majority of Americans stay in the dark.

Spot on. Sadly the rank and file democrats either don't care or are too stupid to understand why this is happening.

It’s amazing the number of things you simply can’t buy. I had to go to three places in search of pool chemicals, for example. I don’t believe so many things are in short supply simply because demand is up due to COVID winding down. Something else is going on, just haven’t figured out what. The 9.3 million unfilled jobs doesn’t help and has to be a chunk of it.

This reminded me of this movie scene

I hear ya. I'm having trouble finding olive juice to go with my Ketel One. I got three Jars of queen olives in my fridge with nothing but olives in them. No juice. Starting to get a little shaky. I refill my olive jars back up with the on the counter cocktail juice like I do with vinegar in my pepper sauce for my greens.

I ordered a new air filter for my riding mower...it had to be shipped in from down state. I was told I literally got the last one in stock in the state of Michigan. They said all parts are getting hard to get in regularly. The entire chain is a mess.

Time to quit relying on importing everything, and paying people not to work.
