Flip side of that is the finals start on Monday with 0 days rest for any team. I guess that it somewhat prevents teams from just riding one pitcher considering if you lose just once you will have to play at least one double header.

If UCLA played better defense, they could have won their games last night. Strong defense, good hitting, and another amazing pitching effort by CC will bring home the win.
Both teams have seen each others Ace, so should be interesting.

Good D doesn’t stop homeruns. OU is feeling it right now. CC must get by the first 3-4 innings and cool OU’s bats. CC can do it.

As with the first game, the longer the OU offense goes without scoring, the more they will press. Good pitching almost always beats good hitting come playoff time.
I feel like Alabama is the best team in the tournament so far with JMU a close second. JMU only needs one game today. Certainly an advantage for them. I will be watching with friends.

Alabama is tough to assess because Fouts has been so dominant that the team hasn’t felt any huge pressure spots put on the offense or anything yet this week.
They’ve certainly been the most impressive so far in terms of performance, but the other three teams left have all had their backs against the wall to some degree. Makes for a very interesting final four.

Just hung it out over the middle too much. Hopefully a nice wakeup call to not do that again. They have several batters where a small miscue will lead to a HR. Gotta be careful.
We'll see how things go with our bats though. I also kinda like that we'll be seeing the same pitcher again. Hopefully we'll have adjusted and can do even better today.
I'm also hoping OU will start to fade towards the end of the game. Hard to keep playing your best over that many games in a short timespan.

Minimized the damage- down 2-0. Great diving catch by Sullivan. Does appear OU thinks they can run on our catcher and is trying to get in her head a bit. We'll see how that goes.

Yeah in softball seems like the throw and tag has to be pretty damn perfect to get a fast runner looking to steal.

Yep. On the positive side...we've been one base hit away from getting runs. We're close. Just keep getting runners and it'll pay off eventually.
