Patton & Gandy 2nd Team.
Pugh & Richardson 3rd Team.
Cox & Zschernitz 4th Team.
Surprised Waylee was left out.
Really sleeping if they think Lafayette isn't going to be at least 4th team, IMO.
I don't think there are 4 better punters in the MAC than Ference.
I wouldn't be surprised if Rayner, Ester, McCray, Ratkovich, and Oppong make an All-MAC team as well.

Lafayette being left off is a joke. In fact all of the rankings are a joke there - this is a dumb list. Gandy 2nd team? ... fine. Let’s see how that goes

If we have two 1st team receivers then that means there should be an NIU QB on that list too.

First thing I notice was the absence of Ference. The second thing was three OL on the list. Then Richie and Rudolph. Gets me even more excited about the potential of our offense and supports what I think a few on this board are thinking about the team.

Rudolph is 1st Team as Kick Returner, not WR. However, I do agree with the sentiment that with a WR of Richie's caliber and the other weapons on offense, Lombardi very well could be All-MAC. The only reason I don't have him among my picks is that I've never seen him play, let alone seen him in this offense with this group of guys. So just too much unknown for me to feel confident making that leap.

I'm excited for his potential. I just wonder if the move of Tewes from LB to TE and the versatility of Ratkovich will mean that Joiner won't be enough of a focus to raise to the level of All-MAC performer.

We certainly have the talent. To me, it’s all in the hands of the coaches as to how they set up the offense and defense. If the past couple seasons are indicative of the coaches’ “talents”, we could be in for a rough ride. IMO, the coaching has been very disappointing.

Glad someone finally mentioned this. Looking back at the recruiting and roster threads the last three years everyone keeps talking about all the talent that has been brought in. Yet, NIU is 5 - 13 the last two seasons, is expected to only win 4 games this year, and gets blown out regularly at home by MAC teams. At some point you have to question the coaching.

Well the reason has been “we are young”. That might be good for another 4 or 5 years.

If we get 10 or 12 on team, then we better be MAC west champs
