Some of these players who do not make it or do not stick in the NBA can log a lot of miles in the minor leagues. Dallas Comegys played for DePaul in the 1980s, and he played one year each with the Nets and the Spurs, and then got kicked downstairs for the rest of his career. From 1989 through 2006, he played for 12 different teams in Spain, Italy, Turkey, Israel and the U.S.

Sounds like he made a decent living, played the game he loved, and got to see the world. Some might view it as a "dream life". On the other hand, there were probably a lot of lonely nights in countries were he didn't know the language and was far from friend and family. Probably not for everybody.

JJ has played for nine teams since 2008, in Germany, Ukraine, France, Mexico, Taiwan, Argentina, Singapore and Chile.
