So we got three point guards on the roster right now. Ball security should not be an issue.

I'd probably say closer to two points...I still think MAW is more of a secondary ball handler and pass option, even though he can play point in a pinch.

Well... I think we all like Mike, but I don't believe that is an accurate statement.

Of the 3... he is certainly the best option in the 2 spot because of his shooting. I thought he did a fine job at pg as well.

Maybe this staff will coach em better. Brannen’s philosophy was a little loosey goosey with the rock for my tastes.

I'm glad Saunders is returning.

He's a decent player. Not like a Jarron Cumberland or anything. But... it's a good, positive look for the program. Gives the signal that we're moving in the right direction after two years of dysfunction.

... and we just plain need players.

I quickly scanned your post and read that last line as...

.. and we just need pain relievers.

There's a lot to like about Saunders in terms of his speed and ability to get to the rim. He could wreak havoc in Coach Miller's press. He'll need to develop a more reliable 3-point shot to unlock his potential, though. Would love for him to work with a shooting coach this offseason.

One statement goes hand-in-hand with the other. Bourbon happens to be my preferred basketball-related pain reliever.

Miller just had Isaiah Miller lighting it up and he couldn't shoot the 3 at all. Get guys around Saunders that can spread the floor and he's going to get to the rim whenever he wants.

Saunders can shoot FT though, so maybe there is room for growth in his shot.

Saunders has immediate strengths that you play to/game around right now. You can't teach Saunders' quicks that's for sure. That said, you continue to coach and develop his other skills moving forward. We've had many players under Cronin and Huggs that came out their Senior years in big, big ways.

My nomination for Post of the Week, LOL.

Culturally, Saunders return makes a big statement and it suggests to me he's really become a loyal Bearcat through all of this. I expect a bright future for him.

And we can only imagine the texts that have been flying through cyberspace in recent hours between Mikey and his former teammates. Every piece that is put back in the puzzle is a plus at this late date. Then let Wes get some beefy shot blockers for the frontcourt out of the portal and he may resurrect a conference contender sooner rather than later.

Divorced.

As the adage goes, “no matter how hot she is, somewhere out there is a guy who is sick and tired of putting up with her shyte.”

Have a good feeling he's going to head to Seattle and hit a home run for his second at bat.

Eason + a few contributors via transfer and we could actually be good next year.

if Eason's mom is still controlling Tari's life and she still goes online and constantly ripping how her son is handled as in playing time, well, let him go somewhere else. Tari has a lot of talent but he was a turnover machine late in the season that cost us some games. If he comes back, let it be he is ready for hard work and learning to stop making stupid fouls and losing the ball.
Unlike, Saunders that improved a lot as the season progressed and appeared to listen and improve his game. Welcome back, Mike. I always hoped that he would return once things settled. Mike is a picture of a true Bearcat.

Tari was playing out of a position all year and still managed to put up 7 points and 6 boards per game as a freshman (Gary Clark-esque freshman year), alomg with a 20/13/4 game. He is the most talented and most promising of the freshmen by a not insignificant margin.

I imagine Momster would be a one-and-done recruit.
