Troy installs state-of-the-art volleyball court - CardinalBlackTrojan - 04-01-2021 05:46 PM Troy just installed a LEED-Certified Taraflex FIVB Sport M Plus surface inside Trojan Arena for the volleyball team. Troy is the only school in the SBC to have this type of surface, and only 1 of 49 schools in the NCAA to have it. It's the official volleyball court surface used in the Olympics. It supposedly offers a 35 percent improvement in shock absorption over a traditional wooden court and a 73 percent improvement on the Impact Protection Index. Seems like something the players will definitely like instead of falling on wooden basketball floors. RE: Troy installs state-of-the-art volleyball court - mjs - 04-01-2021 05:50 PM Looks really nice. Do you just roll it out for volleyball games/practice? RE: Troy installs state-of-the-art volleyball court - Yosef Himself - 04-01-2021 06:58 PM That's pretty cool! RE: Troy installs state-of-the-art volleyball court - AppinVA - 04-01-2021 09:07 PM App has had a court like this for quite some time. I’m guessing it’s just not this specific type? I’m guessing it’s just not this specific type? From what I can tell, App State uses a slightly older click-tile system for volleyball? I could be wrong. They are still one of the few in the SBC who have a separate surface for volleyball though. It's nice to see that Troy is still spending on updates after dealing with COVID.
