OMG these unis are awful. Someone needs to be fired.

We have a lot of fans who seem like they want to be judges on Project Runway. They're fine - not great, but firing someone over it? Jeez.

I agree. I'm not a fan of the font across the chest, but I like the gray and blue...but why the numbers on the front as well as the back? They would look a lot cleaner without the number on the front side.

These uniforms make us look like a high school summer team and not a respectable college baseball program. Big strike against Bragga and Karlgaard

I’m really more worried about the Owl ABs with RISP than I am the uniforms. String some wins together and then we can worry about the unis.

Sorry, but this program has WAY bigger issues than the uniforms. They could be wearing the classic pinstripes everyday, which I would be fine with, but that wouldn’t fix the coaching and talent issues.

Sorry, but this program has WAY bigger issues than the uniforms. They could be wearing the classic pinstripes everyday, which I would be fine with, but that wouldn’t fix the coaching and talent issues.

I don't care if they wear clown suits as long as they outscore the opposition every game.

I'm not saying it's cause and effect, but before Coach Graham had Rice baseball consistently playing as one of the best teams in the country, he already had them wearing the classiest uniforms in the country. That was not accidental.

One can argue about how much appearances matter, but they are not irrelevant.

More generally, frequent uniform changes reflect insecurity in one's identity and a misguided sense of priorities, neither off which is good. There is a reason why most successful organizations don't change their look from week to week, or even from decade to decade.

I assume the one in question is the 'college classic' in the upper right hand corner. It is overwhelmingly my least favorite... but I don't hate it as much as I thought I would, especially if it is simply a limited use uni. It looks like a cheap t-shirt uni pulled together on short notice or for a beer league.

Pinstripes are my favorite by far... My second is oddly the bottom right... the two-tone. The other three are all equal in my mind... fine, but fairly non-descript/generic to me.

The unis from Sunday night vs TXSTATE are not shown. I’m thinking these photos date back to prior years. Keeping things like this up-to-date has never been a strong point for Rice.

The new uniforms being ugly is a minor thing, yet symbolic of the handling of the baseball program in recent years - distancing itself from WG in quality and look.

Here are some screenshots I took of three non-pinstripe unis worn during an earlier series.

(Sunday's vs Texas State were the blue analogs of the white one with the angled lines and chicken-head logo.)
