Who thought he was going to go faster than a 4.46? Lol Hardly any running backs go much faster than that.

Maybe RBs are just getting faster over the years but 40 times seems kind of suspect to me this year. It's literally like the fastest class ever by a long shot.

Many draft experts thought he would be one of the fastest RBs this year due to his tape. Plenty of blue checks on Twitter saying Ford's time was surprising inan off way based on his breakaway runs
I could be wrong, but I don't remember a lot of long RB runs in the NFL. Isn't 10 yard time more important? seems 10 yards is time to hit a hole and into secondary.

Ford was #12 out of 27 running backs in the draft

Seems vision, change of direction and acceleration is more important than 40-yard time.

I mean, no one is going to flag you for a 4.4 forty. But it would've been a huge boost for him to post a more flashy number.

Myjai's reverse weight issue rears its head again (unless his plan is to move to LB.

For reference, he was at 242 at the Senior Bowl less than a month ago. That is the lightest weight of a primary edge rusher at the Combine since 1999...not great.

I haven't seen anything on Sanders' test numbers yet, but it sounds like he might be part of a bigger trend:

40s are coming up soon, but Myjai put up an average vertical (33").

Beavers has yet to go to test, but he came in at 237lbs, also down 15 pounds from the Senior Bowl. These guys are clearly cutting to make solid 40 times

Myjai went 4.73/4.71

Craziest performance evee though certainly goes to Jordan Davis. At 6'6" and 341lbs, he just put up a 4.82...that is inhuman.

Turns out maybe Myjai isn't a case of clearly cutting nor intentionally part of a trend:

Sauce just dropped a 4.41 official 40 time, that's booking it for his size. He has the 6th best Height/Length measurable of any CB in the NFL Combine's history.

Just said on NFL Network, "With the Combine he's had, with the drills, testing, and interviews and media availability combined with the shift to pass heavy offenses, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Sauce Gardner ends up as the #1 overall pick this year."

RE: 2022 Bearcats NFL Draft Prospects - Bearhawkeye - 03-06-2022 06:47 PM

Just an FYI: The really big money is available in the second contract of course, but the #1 overall pick this year is projected to get $41.5M over 4 years with over $27M of that guaranteed.
