on ESPN2. Good game. I assume we want houston to win to give WS 3 conf losses (tied with us) and if we don't reschedule the WS game, we own the tiebreaker over them. Just think if we beat houston (and don't get the other Houston game or WS game) and win the rest, we win the conference.

WS was murder from 3. They hit contested and tough 3's all night. Houston couldn't guard Etienne or Gilbert.

I figured we wanted Houston to win to give us sole possession of 2nd place. I think that's one of the keys to an at large bid. They give the AAC 2 slots and so we check off as many boxes as we can to show we're the 2nd team. A Wichita win gives them the inside track at the 2nd AAC bid.
Oh well.
I guess the silver lining is we have a better path to #1 in conference now, and our win over Wichita might bump back to a Quad2 win.

Go 2-0 and maintain a similar overall record and that is a big deal. Will we be able to make up any of these 4 lost games?

Sure we'll make up some of the games. Metrics across the country are getting better every day. We are now at numbers last seen in October, and trending favorably. So there's no reason to pull the plug on the season. We just have to get past this outbreak that is going through the conference right now. We should be about clear, with ECU and SMU also clearing.
But the conference might have to prioritize the games that get made up, because we may run out of time - similar to what happened in football to give us clear #1 and #2.
I wish we would start hearing about the NCAA considering pushing back the tourney a week or two.

Schedule has Tulane on on Wednesday then Cincy that Sunday
Can we sneak in an extra game a week the next two weeks? Instead of 4 total games would we be able to play 6, or even 7 before the conference tourney. I’m aware of all the covid protocols and trends, this is more a tangible wonder if they can basically play a game every other day to make these up instead of the normal every 3 or 4 days

The conference has been rescheduling games all year. Not sure why this stretch will be any different. Probably can't get them all, but the conference could pick a couple of critical ones - like @ Wichita and @ Houston for us.

I read a bracketology analysis on ESPN+ last night by conference. AAC--Houston (In); Wichita and SMU (Work to do); no mention of us.
When we come back, we need to come back MAD; and blast everyone like we did WSU and UCF. Total, utter, relentless defense.
