Must be a pretty big outbreak in the program. The first news broke on Feb 10th so the 24th would be two weeks. Sunday is the 21st. However, you would have to think the cases may have been discovered or active before the 10th. Did we not manage this thing well? I wouldn’t be surprised given our handling of the flu this time last year

I was shocked we went as long as we did ... I heard we might start practicing Saturday but as of yesterday there were only 7 players available. So that's 4 ?? with positive tests ?? Who knows.

From what is available, and what Penny said on the radio show, I came to this conclusion. But I do not have any information from any 'sources'.

They don't have to test positive. One person that is positive can bring down the whole team. If someone tests positive and has no symptoms they will be out less than someone that is quarantined.

I say we just call it quits until the conference tournament, we were going to have to win it anyway to get in the NCAA tourney

Looks like Houston v Wichita is still on for tonight.
Wichita could claim the #1 spot with a win. But I'm thinking we're pulling for Houston. They have an NCAA berth locked up. The AAC's "second bid" seems to be a battle between SMU, Wichita, and us. A loss by Wichita would put us #2 in standings for the time being, by virtue of our tiebreaker win over Wichita.
Someone run the scenarios - who are we pulling for?

The next game will be at least the 24th. The AAC tournament is 16 days later. If we have a number of players who actually have the virus instead of just contact. Then a large portion of the team will be weakened from the exposure and will need time to regain strength. Just playing the 4 remaining games will be taxing. No way we can make up the four postponed games also.

easy WSU. A win will improve their NET. Our win against them has dropped to a quad three win.
