I'm game with that.

Hate that... Penny has missed on all the point guards he's pursued. Kennedy, JD Davidson, Skyy Clark, etc.

TJ can't be worse than Alex and Alex is not bad.

That's a big surprise, considering. Care to share? Or are we just making definitive guesses?

RE: point guard - Tiger46 - 01-26-2021 02:10 PM

Some if not most of our best point guards have come from Memphis.

RE: point guard - macgar32 - 01-26-2021 05:31 PM

If Penny wants him...Fine...

But currently we are competing against UALR, Lamar, UNO and FAU...

No need to offer the kid right now...Keep working.

He wants to go away for college. I’m sure if he wanted to okay here Penny would make room.

If you're a coach and your son doesn't want to come play for you, I have to ask some questions.

Don't they get free tuition and everything...Not sure of all the benefits of having a parent that works for the university.

Hardaway definitely should be a walkon...Not saying he doesn't deserve a scholly...Just that giving him one is of no value to a coach we are paying Millions and Millions of $s. That is an additional scholarship you have to play with.

Kennedy had four 3s today to lead his team to a conference title.

Memphis PG, a senior, was scared to shoot the open 3 and instead ended up with turnovers.

This will be the downfall of Memphis come March madness....

Every bit of that is truth.

If we had an Average D1 point guard this team would be a sweet 16 lock.

If we meet Gonzaga then we'll get to see one PG that got away in Bolton.

RE: point guard - Keeper - 03-13-2022 06:18 PM

I have been very disappointed by Lomax's development and improvement at pg, but after this tournament all I can say is where has this Lomax been the last four years. Now I am hoping he does return for a 5th year.

Me too, he is finally starting to get it, but needs to shoot and make 300 three's a day this offseason

If he's our starting PG next year we'll underachieve as a team again. All he does is holds us back.

Agree. We run all this pick and roll with him and it's pointless because he won't shoot a 3 and he doesn't finish well in traffic, so doesn't pressure the defense. Lester looked more decisive in the pick and roll to me
