Welp . That didn’t last long. Glad I just rolled mine over to next year.

Big double birds to the miserable Scrooges at SCHD trying to ruin everyone’s Christmas

RE: No Fans At FedExForum - cmt - 12-20-2020 11:23 AM

RE: No Fans At FedExForum - UMTiger02 - 12-20-2020 11:23 AM

Absolutely Ridiculous

RE: No Fans At FedExForum - cmt - 12-20-2020 11:37 AM

They closed restaurants and bars yesterday too.

RE: No Fans At FedExForum - Unionman76 - 12-20-2020 12:02 PM

the landers center is available

RE: No Fans At FedExForum - Stammers - 12-20-2020 12:05 PM

So beyond idiotic.

No they haven't.

They likely will tomorrow, but nothing official yet.

They haven't done that yet. The directive leaked out yesterday but still has to be voted on. It would probably pass. The FEF decided on their own.

Well, the bars and restaurants know that starting midnight tonight, to-go only, no indoor or outdoor dining.

RE: No Fans At FedExForum - AlonsoWDC - 12-20-2020 12:18 PM

The city council meeting is tomorrow, so bars and restaurants know to-go and delivery only is likely beginning Tuesday at the earliest.

Either way, it is ridiculous.

RE: No Fans At FedExForum - Unionman76 - 12-20-2020 12:19 PM

then to florida until new years

maybe the casinos will still be open when we get back

I am not sure when it will make it to the Shelby County Commission. If Memphis shuts down and the suburbs don't people will just go there. If they shutdown all of Shelby they will go to other counties.

RE: No Fans At FedExForum - AlonsoWDC - 12-20-2020 12:43 PM

The county commission already pushed back against a shutdown last month, yeah. I agree.

RE: No Fans At FedExForum - 450bench - 12-20-2020 12:45 PM

Complete and utter insanity

RE: No Fans At FedExForum - MemTigers1998 - 12-20-2020 12:47 PM

Gonna have to wait until the law is changed when state congress resumes in January. And yeah, the suburban mayors and Republican reps in East Shelby are pushing for it behind the scenes.

might as well just play games on campus if you are not going to have fans. Why spend the cost of going to forum.

Where do you think Elma Roane is located?

RE: No Fans At FedExForum - snowtiger - 12-20-2020 02:52 PM

shutdowns around here are predicated on availability of ICU beds.

I'm not sure y'all have many (if any) ICU beds ...I was just searching for an answer to that and found this:

https://www.fox13memphis.com/news/local/with-no-icu-beds-available-memphis-radio-host-dies-after-arriving-hospital-100-miles-away-friend-says/ITTKTM57IJAZHI7XAV5XAFR4I4/

RELATED: Memphis radio legend Chris Jarman passes away

Shana Crittenden said she first connected to Chris Jarman through music. He was a radio host at 98.1 The Max. She told FOX13 she’ll never forget what happened Tuesday morning.

“It just happened so quickly, like it would if you’re with a baby or toddler,” she said. “I heard him scream and the next thing I know he was laying down and we went straight into CPR.”

We’re told he suffered a heart attack. He was quickly taken to the local hospital in West Memphis, Arkansas.

“They didn’t have the tools or the equipment for the severe case that he had,” Crittenden said. “So there’s no ICU beds in the Mid-South. All the way down to Oxford, none.”

She said the closest available bed was 2 hours away in Batesville. There was no available transport by helicopter, so they had to drive.
