1st and 2nd Team all MAC - BDB5yp - 12-15-2020 03:45 PM

This is a good sign that we will be stronger next season:

Crawford- https://www.instagram.com/p/CI09dWZlykM/?igshid=cogu7xab781h

Rudolph- https://www.instagram.com/p/CI1C5ivBDGN/?igshid=giu25k1wz0sm

Gandy- https://www.instagram.com/p/CI1KucrFHZE/?igshid=1eha2iognyqys

Not bad for a team with 0 wins.

Rudolph's story blows me away. PWO to 2nd team MAC in just 6 games. Wow.

A total of 9 players on All Mac teams. Make us not winning that much more weird. No love for Bowers though so far. Turnovers he key moments killed us.

He was leading tackler for CBs in conference

He also had 7 PBU"S. He was always assigned the opponents top WR. He is a bit undersized, could use a few more lbs.

If you go back and watch - most of his problems were problems with the scheme.

Playing that soft made both our corners look bad. Dillon Thomas getting burned deep was his own thing...Gandy actually looked ok out there. I don’t blame Gandy for poor scheme.

Hammock and the DC need to swallow their pride - self scout - and get better. Bottom line.

They really didn’t trust the DB’s to play man coverage which happens when you have no pass rush. Sounds like almost everyone will be back that played this year. Should be an improved team overall.

As it stands now, the entire team is back except Bowers, Crawford, Ference and Olsen. Even with Covid expanded eligibility, is there another MAC team bringing back 21/24 starters?? Upside to being young and bad = no one going pro & barely any seniors ready to move on with life.

I honestly think Fletcher will out-perform Bowers. He can cover so many mistakes (his own and for others) with his legs + his entire line will be back and RB & WR groups should improve.

Olsen had lost his starting job anyways.

Ference is great but they have the transfer from Minnesota and a PWO, and HOPEFULLY punting the ball won't be a major priority!

Crawford is in one way the biggest loss bc he is the most talented loss and there is NO proven guy behind him. However, the coaching staff really underutilized him as it is, so that mitigates how much of a loss it really is in terms of this year production vs next from that spot.

I know it seems overly optimistic to say considering they went 0-6 and got blown out multiple times, but if this team had just been better by one offensive turnover and one big defensive play a game, they would have been at least 3-3. I don't think the road back to winning seasons is as far away as it felt sometimes watching them this year.

I just watched Coach Hammock’s press conference and, at the end, I believe he said Richardson, Ference, and the LS were all coming back.
