Two different situations I know but what he did then isn't considered nearly as bad today. His biggest sin was just rubbing some of the owners the wrong way. I just wish people like Rose and Jim Thorpe could have lived to see their reputations restored. Toss in Joe Jackson. But my team of the era was the Orioles. My favorite was Brooks Robinson. Great days, and great baseball. Darn those Tigers with Lolich and McClain! That Big Red Machine with Bench and Concepcion and Rose really hit its stride in the early 70s and post miracle Mets.
