Gary Eugene Allen (April 23, 1960 – July 8, 2023) was an American football running back in the National Football League for the Houston Oilers and Dallas Cowboys. He also was a member of the Calgary Stampeders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League. He played college football at the University of Hawaii.

I don't know about that but she claimed she was physically abused by her mother.
When she was younger she had an amazingly symmetrical face as well as a phenomenal voice.

I own several Sinéad Bernadette albums. She was a great artist and performer in her day. Her first album, The Lion and The Cobra, is top-rate. She did a great job covering Prince's "Nothing Compares 2 U", even to the point that Prince himself grew jealous of what she did with that song he originally penned for one of his many side groups, The Family. Despite her decline into her mental illness (she was shoplifting even at the age of 15 and her difficult family situation growing up didn't help as she was abused by her parents as a child), her artistic and musical contributions remain. Sinéad Bernadette's life story is a cautionary tale of how things that happen very young in a child's life can have lasting and profound negative consequences that are not usually fully overcome, leaving scars, wrong turns to find false "solutions", and certainly "mad scientists" and "medical doctors" and disordered "organizations" more than willing to make a buck at the expense of these adult children's great pain and desperation to somehow process all the things adults did to them when they were unable to fully understand or defend themselves. Even today, the disordered Leftist and Globalist medial establishments and Far-Left continue their lies of openly abusing children in macabre ways with wrongfully-prescribed drugs and operations to mess with gender when this is far from the real poblem these children have.
In an interview, Sinéad revealed that she had taken down the picture of Pope John Paul II from her Mother's bedroom wall on the day of her death, and waited until the right moment to destroy it as an act of personal revenge to the physical abuse she suffered as a child, writing, "Child abuse is an identity crisis and fame is an identity crisis, so I went straight from one identity crisis into another". Truer words for many in public life were never said. Sinéad was lashing back at the Mother who abused her in a way that made sense to her, though many who saw it on SNL did not understand and had no idea. In that context, what she did makes sense, taking an opportunity to return the hurt her Mother had given to her for years in a very public and unmistakable way.
Some children are abused from before birth, some when babies, some as toddlers and some as teens and young adults. Often, parental neglect can be just as contributing to their disordered mental health as any physical scars. Many parents fall under the mistaken idea that as long as they give their children enough "things" and financial rewards, they can compensate for their own selfishness in being absent so much that the child struggles to find acceptable substitute role models, which far too often are of a disordered variety, rather than the truth-based, but difficult, counseling they really need. Because this wok seems often too hard and insurmountable for them, many of these abused children fall for the far easier lies of gender dysphoria, homosexuality and other disordered and nonsensical groups who ply them with their disordered lifestyles and habits rather than admitting the truth to these kids that what happened to them when they were young, the abuse, the neglect (yes, even babies can be and are neglected, sometimes from "good" parents even, hence the mistaken and false belief that they feel they were "always this way"). Funny, you don't find too many homosexuals and "trans" among the traditional tribal peoples of the world. Why? Because they don't buy into the Alphabet+ nonsense gibberish the Left sells so readily to the weak-minded and the abused. If you ask Howard Stern, he will readily tell you that most of the denizens of his corrupt worldview come from the homes of Divorce, abuse, neglect, even though many of them were "nice looking" homes in "good neighborhoods with "good public schools." Public school teachers have been and today remain among the worst consistent abusers of children (and today even moreso than before), second only to divorced parents or "family friends" (the number one abuser of children is the live-in boyfriend of the divorced mother, but hey, do what makes you "happy" and screw your children), though still mostly swept under the rug and paid off in silence and secret with Non-Disclosure Agreements to protect the guilt from the crimes they perpetrate on these innocent kids. Yes, child abuse is shockng, and leads to many, many disorderd behaviors and choices. Why the film Sound of Freedom is a must-see for anyone who cares about children and the abuse they suffer from some very powerful, rich and well-connected people all over this planet, including here in the US most of all.
Some may look at a person like Sinéad Bernadette and make snide jokes at her expense. I see a broken young girl who tried to rise above her abuse and abusers and lash out publicly against those she identified with hurting children like her as best as she could to try to bring attention to the problem, imperfect though her attempts may have been. Would that she could have found more solace in her Patron Saint, Saint Bernadette Soubirous of Lourdes, whose incorrupt body still lies perfectly and miraculously preserved even today (though no scientist or doctor is able to explain how) in the Convent at Nevers, France run by the Sisters of Charity.
Sinéad Bernadette will be missed. Though she searched for solace in many different false religions, I believe she will be welcomed back in Heaven by her merciful Father who loves her as He loves us all and understands the abuse she suffered under her mother as perhaps few can. Eternal Rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon her, that she may find the happiness and tranquility in your loving embrace that she never found here on this Earth. Amen.
