Can we kick Wichita State out now? They were Gregg Marshall.

They have a ton of Money behind basketball...

They just have to make good decisions right now.

WSU probably equivalent to or better than everyone in the AAC outside of Cinci and Memphis

Agreed...

Houston is similar to us but I am not sure Houston has the will to pay enough to replace Sampson if he bolts.

They lured a P5 coach by making him the highest paid in the G5 by $1 mil per year, so ya never know...

True, and they’re going to be on the hook for $8.5 mil if Holgerson doesn’t make it to 2022. This after paying his $4 mil buyout at WVU. They likely don’t want to make this potential mistake again, but fools and their money...

After last year I hope he falls on his face...

That was some bush league strategy he pulled with the redshirts...

Yep...And I enjoyed that because it essentially ensured the failure of his strategy.

People talk about second chances and hand them out like candy at Halloween. This is a classic case where an NDA gives Marshall a shot at self reflection, self awareness and a legitimate chance at realizing the errors of his ways, and leading a more exemplary life moving forward.

The qb and a few others were gone already. They made the choice to redshirt. Holgorsen tried to save face by claiming a master plan, and he compounded it by sitting out others. It backfired a bit.

I normally pull for conference programs to continually improve. In this case, and with the way the university completely overpaid for Holgorsen, I also hope they fail miserably.

When there is realignment, Cincinnati will be in no matter what, so I think it would be good for them to do well. UCF is iffy and Houston is almost a non starter because there are other schools in the same states in the ACC and Big 12 respectively. We are in a GREAT spot with the Big 12 and the ACC because they don't have any schools in Tennessee and we would be a nice presence in $EC land.

So I'm indifferent to Cincinnati. It will be good for the conference, good for the cause of the non cartel and good for realignment if they make the playoff. On the other hand, it's Cincinnati, our bitter rival.

Houston on the other hand, nobody wants them. The Big 12 doesn't want them, no other Texas schools want them, and they have a piece of trash, classless loser for a coach. The timing for us, Cincinnati and UCF to be good and for Houston to crash and burn is perfect for what we are trying to accomplish.
