I think the time for adding games has past. Teams who need something are scrambling to try and add a game. Teams who are hovering around .500 and not going to improve their lot much are hanging things up for the year. Even conference championship games are turning into "next team up" situations. Previous weeks where BYU held out hoping to pick up a game largely fell through--Coastal being the exception.
It seems the committee has made up their minds about what they want. It is best to take the bowl game and move forward in preparation for next year. If BYU didn't take the Boca Bowl and held out for something better, they might get shut out of an opportunity there too.
