Karabakh peace deal signed - bullet - 11-09-2020 08:44 PM Basically Armenia capitulated. They are not leaving what they still hold of Ngorno-Karabakh, but are leaving other Azeri territory. And the Azeris took a good bit of Karabakh. Interesting interview by BBC with the Azeri leader. Now HERE is a megalomaniac. But BBC is still nicer to him than MSM to President Trump. https://menafn.com/1101094966/President-Ilham-Aliyev-interviewed-by-BBC-News-PHOTO&source=19 RE: Karabakh peace deal signed - TheOriginalBigApp - 11-09-2020 08:48 PM yea but is he a racist KKK sympathizer who pees on Russian hookers while hate-Tweeting about locking up illegal alien children? RE: Karabakh peace deal signed - bullet - 11-10-2020 11:50 AM https://www.b92.net/eng/news/world.php?yyyy=2020&mm=11&dd=10&nav_id=109640 Armenia is returning essentially all of Azerbaijan proper it seized 25 years ago. They are giving Azerbaijan free transit across Armenia to Nakichevan (part of Azeri territory separated from the rest by Armenia). About the only thing the Armenians are keeping is the Lachin corridor road 5 km wide and the northern part of Ngorno Karabak. But it sounds like the intent is to strangle that area economically and cleanse the Armenians out. The article below shows how much territory the Armenians had held. Most of the southern part of the map in yellow had been recaptured. There hadn't really been much fighting in the northern half. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nagorno-Karabakh_conflict "....8. Armenia will return the Kelbajar region to Azerbaijan by November 15, and Lachin by December 1, while the Lachin corridor (5 kilometers wide) will remain in the hands of Armenians, in order to ensure the connection between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, without affecting the status of Shusha. In addition, Armenia must hand over Agdam and part of the Gaza region of Azerbaijan, which it currently holds, by November 20. 9. In the next three years, a plan will be developed for the construction of a new road along the Lachin corridor, which will provide a connection between Stepanakert and Armenia, and a Russian contingent will be deployed on it. Azerbaijan will guarantee the safety of transportation in the Lacin Corridor to all civilians. 10. The refugees will return to their homes in Nagorno-Karabakh, which will be controlled by the UN High Representative for Refugees. 11. All economic and traffic connections in the region will be unblocked. Armenia will provide traffic connections between the western parts of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with the goal of allowing free flow of people, goods and services in all directions. The control will be performed by Russian border troops. According to the agreement, new roads will be built between the western parts of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic...." Don't you know the PC Socialist media Police are out and about? Take cover! What's really significant is how the Azeris won the war. They used Turkish drones and other Turkish military equipment and Syrian mercenaries that Turkey transported. |
