The closer it gets to the draft, the more it seems heineke will have a chance to compete. There is a lot of hate and non belief about heineke. There is also positive stuff said about him as well. Heres hoping he gets the chance. I have watched a lot of heineke. He fails to disappoint

He can always be counted on to put in the work and come to the game prepared. Here's hoping that he stays healthy and it is enough to ensure his success going forward. Being the 2nd string QB in the NFL isn't the worst thing in the world either. He would surely get some playing time as nearly all of the starting QBs get some down time throughout the season.

He fails to disappoint- means he always disappoints, without failure.

I'm assuming that's not what you meant.

Happy 28th birthday to him.

RE: Taylor Heinicke - ODUsmitty - 03-16-2021 12:48 AM

Fitzpatrick now a Skin. I think this bodes very well for TH. Helluva fun QB roster, and TH has the opportunity to be the man. Fitzmagic is so fun to watch and makes a great backup if and when TH get s nicked. NFL WFT 2021 will be a great year.

Touche. He is never disappointing

RE: Taylor Heinicke - MonGNARch - 03-16-2021 08:49 AM

I'm just mad that Heinicke won't be able to wear 14 now

RE: Taylor Heinicke - MonGNARch - 03-16-2021 08:50 AM

But as a WFT team fan, I'm okay with this. I hope Fitz can be more magic than tragic this year but you never know with him. Great guy to learn from

RE: Taylor Heinicke - Gilesfan - 03-16-2021 09:02 AM

Not a big fan of Fitz but he will certainly be the starter. Hopefully Heinicke stays on as the backup and eventually gets another shot to start (and stays healthy)

RE: Taylor Heinicke - jaybird44 - 03-16-2021 04:00 PM

I hope he gets a chance to compete. People act like he can't play. I believe he could be a starting quarterback in the nfl. Given the chance, that is. We will see. If they being another guy in, it won't be good.

He kinda has to keep #4 now... after that playoff game!

Also great for TH to continue to mentor under Fitz... who has a similar gunslinger's mentality.

This will extend TH's time in the NFL and hopefully increase his wealth (so that he donates back to the program)

04-cheers

Bold prediction. I do not think heineke will go quietly. If Rivera truly makes it a competition, he can be the starter. We believe in you, Taylor

OT: 1 of the 30 names WFT has floating around for the new team branding is Monarchs. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/washington-nfl-team-might-change-its-name-and-here-are-some-of-the-options-fans-are-being-asked-to-consider/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=news_tab&utm_content=algorithm

Monarchs for a team from Washington? Bad idea. Too many of our politicians already believe they are monarchs (or at least royalty)

The Monarchs name is only allowed at teams where Ticha Penicheiro plays...

(Now the WFT does have a gaping hole at Middle Linebacker.... hmmm!)

RE: Taylor Heinicke - bigblueodu - 04-19-2021 08:06 AM

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Washington the guy that kicked the Monarchs out of America?
GW has to be to be rolling in his grave.

Not a WFT fan but here are the ones I liked the most:

Defenders
Redtails
Renegades

I have come to like Football Team but of the other names I like Redtails. Some Hawks may be offended, but they are just birds. On a more serious note, the Redtails is in homage to the Tuskegee Air Men who painted the tails of their P-51's Red and escorted bombers as they did drops on Germany during WW-II. The Boys flying the B-17's called them the Redtails.
