It amazing how different Ohio is compared to its neighbors in Michigan and PA, obviously. It’s also a big difference that Ohio is apparently much, much better at the vote counting process. Got it done in no time, full results before midnight on Election Day. Seems odd given the geographic and population similarities of the states that one would be so much better.

Ohio only has 96% of the total votes counted (according to the Fox News Map)

MI, WI, IN, WV are at 99%

PA is at 95%

They didn't have the "full results" before midnight on Election Day. They just knew enough to safely call it for Trump. It'll take another week or so to tally all the absentee and provisional ballots. There's just not enough of them to make much of a difference.

Ohio isn't going to change the direction of the election due to the margin Biden lost by.
There is no need to finish quickly simply by the time the results have to be certified.

So how can you say Ohio did a better job because they are run by republicans.

I don't think you can. Using that logic...California is the "most bestest" counters in the country because they called that election immediately (only counted 77%)

Everything doesn't have to be so divisive (Us vs. Them).

Context Matters...

You have to remember who’s in charge of each state.

The Michigan House and Senate are controlled by Republicans.

The state legislature is tasked with the responsibility of setting the time, place, and manner of elections.

That doesn't mean they run every election. It means whatever laws that are already in place, the precincts/counties have to/should follow. They didn't pass anything & Gretchen certaintly didn't sign anything

Unless you don't want to pin down how many are left.

You are using different sources written at different times, including print media which has a deadline.

You can see the ballots remaining count directly from the GA Secretary of State website. 14k last night, 8100 this morning.

If this is part of some collusion as you suggest then the primary source, the Secretary of State, would need to be changing the story. Based on his press releases he isn’t.

Thank you. But you can't reason with these cultists...although I would cut them some slack...they're still coming to the grips that their guy has lost.

On a more light hearted note...

Kanye West Vote counts

Kanye’s updated state-by-state breakdown is as follows, according to the AP:

Arkansas: 4,040
Colorado: 6,254
Idaho: 3,631
Iowa: 3,202
Kentucky: 6,259
Louisiana: 4,894
Minnesota: 7,789
Mississippi: 3,277
Oklahoma: 5,590
Tennessee: 10,216
Utah: 4,344
Vermont: 1,265

I guess they didn't like either one at the top of the ballot.

Ohio's SOS is a Republican. MI and PA are run by democrats.

Michigan 99% counted
PA 95% Counted
Ohio 92% Counted

No one cares about Ohio because it has already be decided...Not because they counted a higher % of the vote.

When presented with those numbers do you feel democrats do a better job counting votes?

Stop trying to vilify the other side.

Everything is not simple...Context matters.

If you haven't figured out by now that states count their votes in a different order (mail-in vs. in person), you're just not very good at this and should probably just leave this thread.

And Ohio did not go down the rabbit hole of Mail In Balloting. If you didn't want to vote on election day you had a month ahead of time to go in person or you could send in an absentee application and get an absentee ballot.

It was the same In Michigan. You had to request a ballot if you wanted to vote by mail. They did not just mail out ballots to everyone.

Biden won’t be able to do too much harm unless he dies during his term.

Pence, Pompeo, Nikki Haley, or Trump 2024!

The thing about Kamala is she was such a horrible candidate that the whack job Dems didn’t even want her. 3%. Now wait until she and the mental vegetable tank the economy with their bowing down to China and green deal. Many of the low budget losers who voted for these 2 dumb fks will be much worse off under them. That’s why I’m saying Trump needs to do his part to keep the Republican base energized.

Well, the short term goal is to flip the House in 2022, since historically the President's part loses a good deal in the midterm.

IF they can keep the Senate AND IF Biden (assuming he is still alive) is a compromiser like he sometimes claims he is, maybe some **** can get done that benefits a good portion of the political middle.

Sure... No, what you will see is Biden's desire to reinsert America into the greater global trade network as the "market of last resort". China will gain and then eclipse us sooner than later due to every other nation kowtowing to China for their mythical market access. Middle class will die due to the little gains in mfg jobs during Trump's time in office being reversed. We'll go all in on the global warming initiatives amongst the international community - which in reality will be a wealth transfer scheme to "balance the scales" among the 3rd world nations.... Meanwhile, middle class will be squeezed due to 1) unfettered illegal immigration putting pressure on wages for middle class (wtf do you think wages stagnated for over a decade???) plus the resumption of manufacturing exiting the US in favor of cheaper (slave) labor in China and other nations who will replicate China's slave practices.

Can't wait...

There are tons of assumptions there.

No different than Trump was going to get us into WW3 or any other baseless cry to hyperbole.

Not really. Biden has criticized Trumps trade policies and attacked Trumps treatment of allies. Virtually all the Trumps disagreements with Allies are based on trade or costs related to NATO. Thus, it is Biden, not posters, who has implied the Trumps tough trade stances and insistence that European NATO nations contribute the minimum 2% toward their defense will change under Biden. Biden has specifically said many times will reenter the Paris Accords, something nobody believes is a plus for US manufacturing or manufacturing job growth. Thus, its really not much of an assumption that Biden going back to trade deals skewed against US workers, reentering the Paris Accords, and instituting higher environmental regulation costs on US industry---will result in same flow of manufacturing jobs away from the US that it has in the past.
