In any scenario, CUSA wants JMU.
But sure, the Marshall premium board is right that CUSA is gonna get Army instead and isn't interested in JMU. Marshall premium board is right while CBS Sports, Yahoo Sports, The Athletic, etc. are wrong.

Why not Army used to be in CUSA. They left under bad terms, but those days are gone.
Liberty, some of CUSA members don't care for their finances and the way they have skirted some of the NCAA rules.
If Judy can get them on board. Liberty begged to join CUSA.

My source (someone close to the VP) is saying CUSA is balking hard at Liberty. And ESPN is very attractive to MU athletics. SBC guarantees that. And stability. And money. CUSA has no leadership.

I am hearing that Marshall is advocating for ODU and WKU to join us and USM, but the Belt is more interested in JMU, which is fine with me and most other MU fans.
I also think that App has a decent sized hand in this

Not coming from the VP. A person close to the VP who has worked on many projects within the Athletic Dept. who hears the same things as those high up. He also said that thins are in constant flux and convos happen all the time.

Not saying Pete Thamel is right, but he did get right the 6 cusa schools going to the AAC. Until proven wrong, you have to take what he tweeted as potentially legit with USM, MU, JMU, and ODU. Find it interesting that SBC would get WKU back, just seems weird to me, but stranger things have happened.
