Memphis giving up 800 yds vs UCF was very painful to watch, but the win was like morphine.
Fun fact: In the year 19and92 the Memphis St Tigers had the 3rd best defense in all the land. They gave up less than 2800 total yards over 11 games.
They went 6-5 that year. I know football is different now days but the Tigers are on pace to give up roughly 6200 yds (including an 11th bowl game) this season. I would fire the DC Mike MacIntyre right now. Too many defenders lost, out of position, and way too many missed tackles. Most of them are also out of shape which is totally inexcusable and if Silverfield doesn't make a move because he thinks it makes him look bad then he is wrong. Staying with MacIntyre looks much worse. Go back to basics on D, angles and tackling.
